Terms of service

Qtyni is a URL shortening service. By creating or following a short link you accept these terms.

The service

The page shown before a visitor reaches the destination displays one advertisement. Advertisements are supplied by a third party and are shown only to visitors who accept advertising cookies; Qtyni does not select or endorse them.

Qtyni turns a long URL into a short one. Links created without an account expire automatically after the period chosen at creation (1 to 12 months) and are then permanently deleted.

Acceptable use

You may not use Qtyni to link to content that is illegal, deceptive, or harmful, including phishing, malware, or content that infringes the rights of others. Destinations are checked against a blocklist and links may be removed at any time without notice.

Removal takes effect immediately: the redirect page is not cached, so a removed link stops working for everyone at once.

Protected links

A link may be protected with a four-digit code chosen at creation. The code is stored only as a cryptographic hash and cannot be recovered or reset — if it is lost, the link cannot be opened again. A four-digit code keeps casual visitors out; it is not encryption and does not make the destination secret from us.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranty of availability or fitness. Qtyni is not responsible for the content of destination pages.
