Privacy policy

Qtyni collects as little as possible.

What we store

When you create a link: the destination URL, its creation date and its expiry date. If you protect the link, a cryptographic hash of the four-digit code is stored as well — never the code itself. Expired links are permanently deleted by an automatic task.

The redirect page is not stored by your browser: it is requested from us each time a short link is opened.

When you create a link, your IP address is kept in a short-lived counter (at most one hour) solely to limit the number of links one address can create. It is not linked to the URL you shortened.

What we do not store

No accounts, no names, no e-mail addresses. Clicks on short links are not logged by us: following a link leaves no per-visit record on our side.

QR codes

The QR code button opens free-qr-pro.com, a separate site operated by us, and passes your short link and interface language in the address so the code can be generated there. No QR code is produced on Qtyni, and nothing is sent unless you press the button.

Advertising

The redirect page displays one advertisement supplied by Adsterra, and only if you have accepted advertising cookies. When it loads, Adsterra receives the information any web request carries — your IP address, browser and the page the advertisement is displayed on — and may set its own cookies or similar identifiers. This processing is Adsterra's, under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store that data.

If you choose "Necessary only", nothing is requested from Adsterra and no advertising data leaves your browser. See the cookie policy for how to change your choice at any time.

Hosting

The service is hosted in France by LWS (Ligne Web Services). Aggregate visit statistics are provided by the host (AWStats) for capacity monitoring.

Your rights

Since links are anonymous, we cannot associate a link with a person. To request removal of a specific link, write to contact@qtyni.com with its short code.
