Cookie policy
Qtyni sets two kinds of cookie: strictly functional ones, which are always active, and advertising ones, which are set only if you accept them.
Functional cookies (always active)
lang — remembers your language choice when you use the language switcher. Kept one year.
cookie_consent — remembers your cookie choice, so you are not asked again. Kept six months, whether you accepted or refused; after that you are asked once more.
qtyni_admin — session cookie for the administrator area only. Not set for visitors.
The Cloudflare Turnstile anti-abuse widget on the creation form may set its own technical cookie; it is used solely to distinguish humans from robots.
Advertising cookies (only if you accept)
The home page and the questions page display advertisements supplied by Google, through Google AdSense. If you accept advertising cookies, those advertisements and the cookies or similar identifiers they use are loaded from Google's servers. They are used to select advertisements, limit repetition, and measure whether an advertisement was displayed.
Qtyni does not receive or store the data Google collects. Google's own script runs on those two pages in order to display the advertisement; it is not present on any other page. What Google does with the data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The redirect page shown when a short link is opened carries no advertisement.
If you choose "Necessary only", no advertisement is requested at all and no advertising cookie is set. The space simply stays empty.
Changing your mind
Select "Manage preferences" at the bottom of any page. Your stored choice is cleared and you are asked again. Refusing is always as easy as accepting.
